Sept 10

This week was long today I ran out of money and I love you. I had for the first time in my life that I remember had my fasting answered I fasted to have the spirit with me more and I can feel the difference I am so happy I never before had a testimony of fasting I just did it because that is what good girls do but I can feel the love from god in that part of my life . This week Goti came to church for  a third time and he asked what is that pointing at my ctr ring then I handed to him because we were in class and he was making noise then after class I was struggling to get it back Victoria helped me beg for it back now I learned my lesson don't let others see it any way gtg

September 3

Proselyting  was good we did a lot of walking and I feel sun burned. One day this week my comps was sick so I was allowed to just sleep I slept for 5 hours that was fun but I woke up still feeling tired. So I might be sick or it is sun exhaustion. I put on sunscreen every day so much it helps me not get burned but I do get tan or red as you call it. My comp is good . It is like trying to train Cienna imagine that with a language barrier it is fun and I have really come to love her even though she is crazy. When she is mad she speaks in French . She loves to buy things and loves cats and cooking with oil she found out that my period skipped a month and now she wont let me eat salt . She is LOUD!  She just yells my name for no reason it is a party but all of that I have gotten used to . I love her and I will be sad when she is gone and I have to get used to another missionary . I am working on learning the bible better because the people are scholars and can tell that I am not. They say if you believe in both why do you not know the bible well? Daniel decided he is going on a mission . I love zone conference I love it every time we had a follow up from our last one and it is awesome. I love the way president and sister Kupu speak and teach it is powerful. We have Mormon helping hand on Saturday we are building a house. So that will be cool it is for a part member family that I love so much the wife we are teaching she is older and has taken in so many kids over the years she told us a story of how she met her husband. It is through prayer she gave god conditions and then went on a trip and gave a church money to buy chairs then when she came back her prayer was answered . She has seen God in her life so many times I love that it is truly a testament to god being real and in our lives . 

Yes I had a good Sunday. It was fun but I am tired all the time and I am happy all the time too this place always has things that make me smile I was reading in ether this week and I got to the part where they talk about how the boats they built were tight like a dish and how nothing could prevail against them and I got thinking how can we do that with ourselves how can we be tight like a dish Ether ch 6 and how God guided them in everything on the way to the promised land that he guided them in building and fortifying in preparing the boats so I thought their is so many things that can hurt us in these days and so us we have to be tight like a dish and help others be tight like a dish is part of our missionary work.

August 27

 

New food no but I officially made fufu or chima by myself no help and it was good I am so proud I could do that it wakes me happy . Fu fu is chima they're the same so I can cook it and how do you know they eat fufuf in Ghana .Wow I want pix when that happens that is so cool I love Maddie and that baby is going to be so cute . How is Ammon on his mission and all the other ya hoos ? Isn't sis Mooney's son in Ghana too or at least in Africa some one told me he was. Did you talk about that ? My week was good I got your letter from June I think that is what the one from Lindsay said was June and it had stamps in it . 

        Victoria told us how she came to know this gospel is true is through reading-the book of Mormon. I know the book of Mormon is the word of god. I also know that she loves that book. She told us that when she first got it she read then she started to hear many rumors and other things . She kept going and she then took it and hid it put it far away she didn't like the rumors she had been hearing . But she kept hearing a voice (the spirit ) telling me to read that book she finally said let me find out for myself and it had the answer she was looking for. As she read she gets the answer to any question she has and I know she is on the path to success . She told me that every night before she goes to bed she hears that voice saying read that book and when she listens and reads it she gets the answer to a question she is having now. She has started and she reads it every day . It helped me because I feel like I don't have many spiritual experiences in my life but this is a true testament to them being their if I look for them and follow the spirit with my questions . 

 One thing I like about training is that it reminds me of the rules I should be following and how she follows my example so I need to be careful not to lead by a bad example . This week has been good and I am looking forward to another good week . The people in the area are good we keep finding and teaching new people to find those elect ones . The ones that show they are serious is  coming to church it shows the true desire to keep doing good and the spirit they feel .

August 20

My week was ok it felt so long though the pix of all of us are from before or just at church Kivalu got moved I am still in the same area just have a new companion sister Namusna . Yea I got pix from the wedding and the reception and I almost cried those people are like a second family also I sent a letter this week to you so I hope you get it soon. Moulton got a package today it was full of medicine . Even though it was medicine it was still fun to watch her open it it is like Christmas when ever she gets packages it is awesome. Two of our new investigator came to church and they kept talking about how they felt the spirit Given and his brother Bryan they are so good. We gave one of our investigators the Book of Mormon, he was so happy and for me I love giving people the book of Mormon I am so happy to give it to them because i know the truth from the introduction to the last page . I love that little blue book so much . Where are the missionaries going to? I went to a catholic mass marriage anniversary  Celebration it was Obbeys sister and brother in law Sydney it as so weird their was drums, African singing, wafer cookies we did not eat them . Many things I liked the African singing I held a puppy it was clean and well taken care of don't worry it had no flees . I liked the puppy it was so cute Victoria is good she is so strong that one she is basically the one who does all the cooking sweeping and all that when she is around she is so awesome I think it is cultural to do it that way to prepare them for marriage. I ate shawama from lezlies which are still so good  but to be honest they taste so good i cant turn them down

August 13

My week was good John got baptized and I gave him balloons some pens . Yellow balloons and sun glasses you sent me with as a missionary I am not allowed to wear sun glasses . We found 6 new investigators most of those seem serious so I think they will progress we will just have to work on getting them to church . Our bishop is super good he gives closing remarks at every baptism and they seem tailored to each investigator which is so cool . Johns dad came to the baptism that was fun he is a very quiet guy but he is very happy that John got baptized and even him he could see the difference from our church and others churches and the rumors that he has heard and if it wasn't for Elvis and his example John would never have been baptized in to our church which is a testament to living the commandments and just being an all around good person . Raphael Elvis cousin is really showing that he wants to change his ways now he is working on getting rid of bad influences so he can work on the word of wisdom . He acts a lot different now and I am glad that he is showing that true desire to change but I want it to happen.  He is going to try to live with Elvis to help him curb his bad habits and all that . Elvis really is the pillar for all our investigators he is all around a great member and he I think is being prepared to be a leader in the church like bishops first counselor or something like that.
